点评:We flew from Norwich on 6th December. We were not given the activity pack for the children when we checked in, we only realised this when we saw other children with their packs, so we then had to go and ask staff for our children to have them. Flight was delayed by 50 minutes going out.
When we arrived in Pajala, my 10 year old nephew had an awful nosebleed which he had never experienced before so was quite distressed - we were not given any assistance from staff or cabin crew, simply given some paper towels.
We had a sick bag full of blood and tissue, when my sister asked the cabin crew where she could put it, they said leave it on the seat next to us (which wasn’t even our seat!), she said but it’s full of blood and they just said it’s fine put it on the chair.
At Santa’s village we were crammed in to a fairly small room (considering the amount of us) to get changed in to snow suits. There was only 2 or 3 members of staff to help guests find the right sizes which meant there was quite a bit of waiting around in a very crowded space.
My nephews nose started pouring with blood again once outside & he then began to be sick. Not at any point did anyone from Newmarket Holidays offer assistance or even check to see if we were ok. My sister and nephew ended up sitting inside the main reception part all day due to how poorly my nephew was, completely missing out on all activities. Myself and my 5 year old didn’t do any activities other than the sledging hill and snowball fights as we didn’t want to leave my nephew when he was poorly.
I must say, the locals were fantastic with him and went above and beyond to try and help.
The village itself isn’t what we expected. It is very basic. For decor, they had what looked like festive shower curtains hanging up outside which we thought was a bit odd.
The flight home was delayed and we sat on the plane for over an hour. Take off was quite scary and I ended up being very sick throughout the flight, my 5 year old then started being sick everywhere. None of the cabin crew even offered a tissue or extra sick bags. If it wasn’t for the other passengers helping us, we would have been in even more of a mess than we already were.
Overall, we feel really disappointed with how the day went. We paid just under £2.5k for the day and would not pay even half this amount to go there again.
