Disappointed by Lack of Communication and Unavailable Attractions During Recent Stay

My family and friends recently stayed at The Kartrite from Monday, April 21 to Tuesday, April 22. We’ve always enjoyed our visits, and our children especially look forward to the water park — with the lazy river being a particular favorite.
Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were disappointed to find that the lazy river was closed. When I inquired with several staff members about its availability, I received conflicting information. A lifeguard was unsure, a towel desk attendant mentioned it might open at some point, and a manager eventually confirmed it was closed for maintenance. This inconsistency added to our frustration, and ultimately, the lazy river remained closed throughout our stay.
We chose The Kartrite specifically for the full water park experience, and not having access to a key attraction significantly impacted our visit — especially given the cost associated with a stay.
In addition to the water park issues, our experience was further impacted by several other disappointments.
The food was overpriced, there was no toilet paper in the restroom stalls, and our room lacked basic amenities like body wash. On top of that, the gym had no water available. These oversights added up quickly and affected our overall enjoyment.
We hope that in the future, communication among staff can be improved, guests are informed ahead of time when major features are unavailable, and that amenities are properly cleaned and restocked. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
