点评：We had a fascinating visit at Ella Organic Tea Gardens. This is a small family run business that uses organic and natural methods for growing and processing tea. We had a tour of the tea gardens and picked some tea leaves. We also saw other plants growing like pepper, coffee, turmeric, cardamom and different fruit trees. We learnt about how black, green and white tea all come from the same tea plant but they differ because of the type of leaf and the processing which changes the colour and flavour of the tea. The tour was very well organised and informative with everything explained and demonstrated for us. We finished with some tea and coffee tasting. We received some tea packages to take away with the opportunity to buy more at a reasonable price. You can take a tuk tuk from Ella town for about 1500 LKR one way. This is well worth the visit.
