No lights, but worth it for the views, hiking, picnics, and more.
Two Lights State Park的点评
点评:This is a picnic paradise. Tables and sheltered spaces abound, but do not conflict with each other. Truly great scenic views and plenty of benches to take them in from. Flush toilets in spacious concrete restrooms, plus an outhouse, or two. Hiking trails and access to rocks to climb on to the ocean's edge. Diagonal parking spaces to easily open doors with little chance of dinging your neighbor. A playground with swings and slides. This was where the Cape Elizabeth Military Reservation was once active. The bunkers are closed, but visible, and the fire control tower stands locked. Gentle breeze keeps flying insects at bay. Fees vary from free to $12/per at the gate. We went on "Maine Day", which is an annual day when there's no charge period. This is such a nice spot that we plan to return with a picnic lunch. The "Two Lights" are no longer here. One is now a house, and the other is unsafe and corderned off not far away, a staffer told us. Great for military history buffs, scenic views, hiking, picnicing, and more.
