Glacier Express的点评
点评：We travelled today 10th December 2025
We had booked this as part of a 60th birthday trip to Venice via the Alps.
We had deliberately not chosen the Orient express as it seemed pricey.
First issue- 1st class is not the top level. They have an ‘Excellence’ class. Separate cabin, separate at table service and all the food brought past you as you sit awkwardly in first expecting some sort of good experience.
Second issue- we have been lucky enough to go on the Rockie Mountaineer. That is without doubt a 5 star experience. The glass cabin windows are curved preventing reflections and glare.
This train is just a bigger window version of the state railway train. We spent most of the time staring at our own reflection in the glass as the windows are straight and reflect interior light
Third issue- the food. We ordered the 3 course meal. It was worse than a tv dinner. Thin soup possibly a maggi powder version, a chicken and carrot main that everyone returned with at least 50% left as it was inedible and a dessert made with artificial cream.
Fourth- you do not get any drinks included . We were offered tea as we departed and bottles of water. Naively we thought it was first class but NO- at the end of the journey 53 swfr for tea and water.
Top tip 1
Seating is single seats facing one side and a group of 4 the other. When travelling east bound to st moritz or Chur ask for the right hand side. The left hand side is up against the mountainside the whole way and seated you don’t get much of a view.
Top tip 2
Really disappointed in Swiss rail as this is simply a tourist rip off .
Just by a ticket on the regular trains and look out of the window and take your own food and drinks. You can thank me later.
Ps only the small window by the toilet opened so photos were difficult to achieve!!

第三个问题——食物。我们点了三道菜的套餐。结果比速冻食品还难吃。汤很稀，可能是用美极粉冲泡的；鸡肉胡萝卜主菜难以下咽，每个人都至少剩了一半；甜点是用人造奶油做的。
第四点——不包含任何饮料。我们出发时被提供了茶和瓶装水。我们天真地以为这是头等舱服务，结果却并非如此——旅程结束时，茶和水还要额外收费53瑞士法郎。

座位分为单人座和四人座两组。如果是前往圣莫里茨或库尔的东行方向，请要求右侧座位。左侧座位全程靠山，坐着根本看不到什么风景。

我对瑞士铁路非常失望，这简直就是宰游客。
只需购买普通列车的车票，欣赏窗外风景，自带食物和饮料即可。你会感谢我的。
附：只有厕所旁的小窗户可以打开，所以很难拍照！
