Garbage on north end of island appalling

点评：It appears most of the emphasis on facility upgrades has gone into the south end of south padre where as beach facilities on the north end of the island are quite tired. Edwin King looks to have been updated fairly recently and offers one of the easiest beach access's if you are looking to drive onto the beach and not get stuck in the foredune, we saw someone in their Corvette drive through there today! Andy Bowie is very tired looking and north of these two parks there are no facilities(ie showers/bathrooms/running water) just crude beach access and a few garbage can. Here is my real issue with Cameron County Parks, the amount of garbage in the foredune on the north end of the island is disgusting. I do not understand the logic of putting out a bunch of barrels, with no lids, for garbage in a place where the wind blows 30mph 80% of the time. I imagine is is great for the garbage pickup crews as the barrels are mostly empty because the wind has blown all the garbage into the foredune and lagoon. We road our bikes up this road several times this week and perhaps that allowed us to see the real extent of the problem as opposed to people in vehicles. Please put some lids on your garbage containers as they are virtually useless in their current configuration.
