Nice beginners area and tree riding
二世古花园滑雪场的点评
点评：Hanazono is one of the four areas of Niseko United. You are able to buy a ticket online and collect it at the ticket machine at the base, Hanazono 308. The buses stop here and the parking lot leads to this building too. There is also a ticket area and gear hire here. The Niseko United pass allows you to get onto the lifts in Niseko Hanazono, Grand Hirafu, Niseko Village and Annupuri. The easiest way to cross between these fields is from the top. The Edge building is essentially a food court with lots of dining options at the base.
The base has a gondola which has two stops, both on the same run. The gondola also runs late at night. The run here is good for beginners since it is quite wide and not very steep. There are also a few tree areas here on the edge of the runs to practise tree riding.
To get further up the mountain, you need to catch the hooded lift at the base. I did find this took a bit of time since the chairs weren't fully loaded even when it was busy. The top of the lift leads to the second quad lift to get to the middle area. At the top of here, you can head towards Grand Hirafu or onto the third and final quad lift across the run. The top of this chairlift is the top of the Hanazono area, but you are able to use the Grand Hirafu King Lift 4 to get to the summit.
The King Lift 4 was closed when I was there, so I was cycling the Third quad lift to do tree runs along the side of that lift. The area between the third and second chair is quite wide but does get quite flat at the base of the second lift so it can be difficult on a snowboard.
Hanazono does have some nice areas to ride and is accessible from the King lift side of Grand Hirafu. There is signage around the lifts to tell you the closing times of each lift and how to get to the different areas.
