点评:On my recent trip to Kingston, I discovered this is a really green city. Not only are there countless parks, luscious fields, and glittering marshes, but there are places like Lemoine Point: untouched enclaves, riddled with wildlife, fit for exploration.
1st piece of advice: bring bird seed. The birds here are not scared of humans. In fact, none of the wildlife seems to be. Squirrels and chipmunks included. Many visitors clearly feed them, so don't be surprised if they get awful close. Just be smart and remember these are wild animals. They owe you nothing.
2nd piece of advice: save your bird seed. We used it all up on the bird section of the trail (geese and ducks), not realizing we would soon be encountering many other critters.
We went in late May, and I have to say seeing the new green landscape coupled with the first sounds of wildlife in months was so refreshing. I highly recommend taking a break for a few hours, and doing your mind a favour and unwinding in this quiet oasis just west of Kingston's downtown.
