A beautiful morning g at La Vina Del Senor.

点评：Living in Australia, we're used to fsirly full bodied red wines, so we've been looking forward to seeing what Chile has to offer. We hired a car to give us the freedom to explore some of the wine regions of Chile, on our own. I did quite a bit of research and really wanted to visit La Vina del Senor. I emailed and got a quick response, so we were pleased to be able to stop in between Valparaiso and Santa Cruz.
We really enjoyed the personalised service, the tour of the small vineyard on a horse cart, the openness and friendliness of Francesca, as she showed us around. We met her Dad, the winery being his vision, still passionate and enjoying it. They make Spaniah style wines, so they use more traditional Spanush grapes, not Chilean grapes, making them different from many if the other wineries. We tried the Rose, the Garnacha, a Temperanillo blend, and the Miura Monastrell with a very generous portion of 2 kinds of cheese and crackers ... perfect accompaniment! We really like that the alcohol content is generally lower than Australian wines, whilst not taking away from the character or taste. Whilst all the wines were enjoyable at La Vina Del Senor, we decided on a bottle of Rose and Garnacha to savour during our travels ... mindful of our upcoming flight! A perfect morning with Francesca ... thank you so very much.
