Worth seeing and great for snorkelers.
Garrafon De Castilla Beach Club的点评
点评：The beach club is the cheaper/more affordable version of the Garrafon reef. We paid 300 pesos as opposed to 1500 for the more de luxe version about 100m further on. Hiring life jackets, flippers and snorkels was extra but at a reasonable rate (50 pesos each). The occasional iguana ran around the site. We visited on a Sunday and it was quite busy but not crowded.
The reef part was good and if you're a good swimmer and hire flippers you can beat the wave action and swim out on the reef proper. Beware of fire coral (Millepora) as this will impart a stinging rash, so make sure you know what it looks like beforehand! Otherwise, I saw brown Stichopathes sea anemones which feel sticky if you accidentally touch them and there were purple sea fan corals (Gorgonians) too which are spectacular. Fish were varied - small barracudas about 30 cm long, sergeant majors and many others that I didn't recognise.
The site is a bit scruffy round the edges but the facilities are good but not de luxe. If you want to have a better experience then the Garrafon next door would be better but book via a tour operator for a better rate but not open on Mondays.
