Beautiful location but very expensive car park and cafe.

点评：It's a beautiful forest with stunning waterfalls but please be warned in using the car park as you don't find out until you're in the car park that they have number plate recognition cameras so once it's recorded your number plate you're on the clock for staying in a very expensive car park. I only stayed 1 hour as it's £3 for 1 hr, £6 for 2 hours and £8.50 all day. There is a beautiful waterfall you can see by the car park and it was very busy with cyclists and runners.
The cafe was expensive for what you get, food is expensive but okay and hot drinks are expensive as I paid £4 for a cup of tea, possibly overcharged.
You can park for free if you have membership but paying £55 a year for local membership or £96 a year for national membership is taking advantage of people just to park in a car park. Nothing wrong in charging people a small fee but having cameras is too much. Pure greed.
My tip is to park for free in a local village or layby then walk into the forest and go to cheaper cafes locally and avoid the Forestry England facilities.
