Meissen Porcelain Manufactory的点评
点评：We toured with our Viking cruise. All arrangements were made for us. There are restrooms just as you enter. (no fee)
The tour started in a display/sale room. There are a few rooms off to the side with "outlet" items. All are very expensive but beautiful and, of course, hand crafted.
The tour starts, really outside the building with some displays. And at the entry way is a display of the evolution of the famous Meissen Porcelain symbol.
Entry is by group. There is a display of the raw materials mined for the porcelain. And room by room you see a demonstration of steps taken to decorate the pieces. Included are some models and displays. The artisans doing the work are used to onlookers. There is an audio recording playing as the work is done.
At the end, we went on to a museum inside with more porcelain work on display.
All in all, it was a good experience. I am glad we attended.
