点评：Yata is headed by Mesele, a calm young man of extraordinary integrity whose guiding skills and knowledge of Axum and surroundings mean you are in safe hands. You will not be disappointed. We came without expectations and found Mesele by chance. On the spot, we decided to go to Abuna Yemata Guh and boy oh boy did we not regret it. From hiring car and driver, finding food, Mesele was on top of everything. The whole trip felt safe and comfortable, yet respectful of the humility that Abuna Yemata Guh commands.
When on the next day I realized I had lost my passport, I was nonetheless able to board my flight back to Addis using a photocopy. Meanwhile, Mesele had, of his own initiative, went back to every site we had visited in Axum, and contacted everyone from the guardian of the stele field to the priest in the rock church of Abuna Yemata Guh. The next, a wanderer had found the passport and given it to the the guardian, who eventually contacted Mesele. Mesele got in touch with as I was at the embassy in Addis finalizing the process to pay for a new passport, saving the day and more.
This is a display of integrity that was neither forced nor asked for, and for which I will be eternally grateful. I would recommended Yata to anyone, without a doubt.
