Decent kit, safe and reasonably priced

点评：Having dived in many places in my time I am pretty careful about the dive schools I choose. My dives were from their Hikkaduwa centre not the East coast base where they moved to in early April. I spent a lot of time researching online and came to the conclusion that Sachin's outfit looked the best. Having been, done it and had a great time, I have absolutely no regrets.
Unlike most people, I take my own gear but the kit the dive school has was clearly maintained and did the job for everyone else. The boats may not be big and flash but again, I had no concerns at all. plenty of water and shade which are the important things. Dive sites as they advertise, are within 30 minutes or less and the guys are clearly experienced at finding them using transits, no GPS used here.
Viz varied from 8 m to 15 m but I was at the end of the East coast season. I know they had 20-30m viz a week or so earlier. Being a UK diver, I had no problem with this. Don't expect Red Sea or Maldives like coral experiences here as there is a lot less coral but nontheless it is worth the effort. The corals are not the branching sticky outy type more the flat smothering type. The Conch wreck felt like a UK dive, currents did not seem significant, but there was quite a bit of swell in places but nothing that would worry a less experienced diver. Without fringing reefs here you are diving on reefs open to the ocean and not in super calm lagoon conditions.
The guides were pointing out stuff they saw down there, many nudibranchs which I would never have spotted. They do get some big stuff here, very occasionally Whale Sharks but you would have to be super lucky.
