点评:River Cruise in France – A Cautionary Experience
I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience on a recent river cruise in France to help future travelers make informed decisions.
On the first night, as I prepared for bed, I found a bug crawling on my pillow. The next day, I discovered three more bugs walking down the curtains in my cabin. I alerted the staff both days. Finally on the third night, after meeting with the ship’s captain and visiting the front desk together, I was moved to a second cabin.
Unfortunately, the issue persisted. On the last day, I encountered another bug in the gym—again crawling down a curtain—and that night, one more bug appeared on my bed in the second room.
When I raised concerns, I was told these were “potato bugs” and that they wouldn’t hurt me. But as a physician, my concern wasn’t just about bites, it was about the possibility of bugs entering the ear canal or becoming entangled in hair, potentially requiring medical intervention. The presence of bugs in multiple locations over several days reflects a lapse in pest control that should not be dismissed.
I share this not to sensationalize, but to inform. Guests deserve transparency and a clean, safe environment. I hope the cruise line takes this feedback seriously and improves their response protocols.
