点评：We visited Sanctuary on Wednesday 16/4/25. This visit was all I expected and more. The place itself is organised to top standards with the welfare of their beautiful elephants a top priority . Apart from a very brief feeding session at the start, the elephants are free to wander through the designated forest floor with no human contact needed and groups watch and follow from a safe distance , close enough to clearly watch the elephants and far enough to insure they are not stressed in any way. Each elephant has their own handler who is on hand to ensure the safety of their elephant and the groups viewing them. The veterinary care is first rate and you are left with no doubt as to the high level of expertise of each person that works here. Our guide was so good. His knowledge was extensive and it is obvious how much each person working here are so committed and dedicated to the elephants in their care and determined that the elephants enjoy the best retirement possible. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough. Do not be influenced by the wish to have your photo sitting on an elephants back or trunk as some places offer. While it’s a photo all of us might love, it causes stress for the elephant even though this may not be obvious. If you truly love and care for elephants you will put their needs first. Thanks so much to everyone who works here for your amazing care and love for these gentle giants who we are lucky to share our planet with.
Drinks and snacks provided as part of ticket are delicious. Toilet facilities perfect. Hand washing insisted on to keep the elephants and ourselves safe. Well done and thankyou to every person involved in any way at Phuket Elephant Snactuary. This visit will stay with me a lifetime .
