Worth the stop—Jerry Garcia story and Bluegrass music timeline is really entertaining!
Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum的点评
点评:On our way to Bowling Green, so wanted to stop in Owensboro to visit. Since it was a “First Friday”, there was a lot of things going on—concert, documentary filmmakers, band warm ups, the local college bluegrass program playing music in the jam space, etc, so it made for fun vibes during a quick visit. Currently the new “Jerry Garcia” bluegrass story is displayed and it was very interesting and well put together. Took us about an hour to walk the museum—note: you can take MUCH longer by going thru the digital archives of interviews and watching all the videos (we did not). There is a medium sized giftshop with vinyls, stickers, t-shirts, CDs, stuff from the ROMP Festival etc. Definitely worth the stop! There’s seems to be a lot of money poured in to that section of Owensboro (along the Ohio River banks) so it looks like a fun place to stay a little longer.
