点评:The main driver for me visiting the Bluegrass Hall of Fame and Museum was to see the Jerry Garcia exhibit. And, man, it did not disappoint! Any self-respecting Deadhead needs to go to Owensboro and pay this museum a visit. But hurry up...it'll be gone after March 2026. And the rest of the museum was very interesting showcasing the history of Bluegrass music, plus there was an additional exhibit featuring the influential John Hartford.
Unlike the museums in Nashville, this museum was very reasonably priced, especially if you use the 25% discount coupon offered at the Kentucky roadside visitor's centers. For me, it was worth every penny. I got there at opening and spent the next 6+ hours exploring the museum. Surprisingly, considering i was there on a Saturday, it was never crowded. And what's totally cool, is there's a jam area where you can pick up any instrument and pick, plus there's a pickup jam session every afternoon....
I DEFINITELY recommend this museum...even if you're not a Deadhead!
