Great views but crowded

点评：We were there on a Sunday early August. Had to book tickets online in advance; note that although admission to the cable car is free with the Dachstein Sommer card, you still need to pay reservation costs (11,60 for our family). The toll road is free, just show/scan Sommer card at the road entrance. We had a nice walk/little climb at the top. If you want to do this please come prepared. We noticed large groups of tourists on their sneakers sliding over snowy and even gletcher parts. The enormous amount of certain groups were kind of ruining the whole experience for us, although the views are magnificent. The suspension bridge and ice palace were too expensive (13,50 per adult, children a little less) for what they were, and will take less than half an hour. The restaurant was good, but not cheap. All in all we stayed for several hours and had a nice day, apart from the overwhelming numbers of certain groups.
