点评:I really debated this one because of the price, but a local convinced me, and WOW. Others who did not go deeply regret it. Go. You won't remember the 40 USD in 10 years, but you will remember this tomb.
First disclaimer: I didn't find this difficult to enter or exit. However, some people with joint issues chose not to do this because they though there were too many steps. Use your own judgment. I think that if you don't have health issues, you don't need to be very fit to do this. Photo is attached.
This is the largest solo tomb, and it's one of the best preserved. My recommendation is to go slowly, and really take your time if you can. When I went in April, there were still a lot of people, but not overwhelmingly so. I found that with just a little bit patience, I was usually able to get parts of the tomb to myself, and that was worth it. It's some of the best preserved pieces of Egyptian art I've seen anywhere (except for maybe Tut's tomb, which has very little in it), and you can also get a lot closer to it than you can anywhere else. Beware that at the end of the tomb, there were locals offering to take my photo for me, presumably at for a small fee. You can definitely do that if you would like to. I declined, and they didn't persist, which is unusual.
