点评：Muar is one of the cities with the most concentration of street murals in Malaysia. While wandering from one street to another, the wall murals would suddenly appear at unexpected places when you were navigating the back alley. I have great admiration for the artists and their masterpieces, whether they are from local artists or foreign ones. They are just marvellous and inject much vibrancy to this historic town. It is like a treasure hunt trail, searching and trying to locate them while exploring the town.
The Maharani Mural Lane is located near the night market off Jalan Sisi, and the murals are among the best in Muar. There is also a famous wall painting named `The Loving Sisters' by Russian artist Julia Volchkova at one of the buildings near Jalan Bakri. The Bangsa Johor Mural on the Tanjung Emas Clock Tower is also well-known for promoting racial harmony. It takes patience and an exploration spirit to locate them.
Murals can beautify neglected urban spaces. Every wall is a canvas, and every brushstroke tells a story.
