Once in a lifetime african safari in Uganda

点评：We did a six day safari with Rogers and it was a fabulous experience. We spent the first night at Rwakobo Rock Safari Lodge, which is truly a gem and the next day we explored Lake Mburo National Park where we saw zebras, giraffes, and a variety of birds. Next we headed to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest which provided an interesting view of the diversity of Uganda. The highlight of our safari was a day hike to visit the mountain gorillas. The hike was rugged but the experience of visiting with the gorillas was amazing. The gorillas are gentile giants and are surprisingly tolerant of people. After a second night at the wonderful lodge that Rogers picked out in the mountains, we headed to queen Elizabeth National Park. This park has a wealth of different animals including water buffalo, elephants, hyena, various antelope species, hippopotami and the elusive tree climbing lions, which we didn't succeed in finding. Rogers is one of the most experienced guides around and is an expert in both large savanna animals and birds. He is the guide that the other guides turn to for advice. He planned a remarkable safari for us and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Our safari was very memorable and was hassle free.
