点评：This is a unique opportunity for people with no previous archeological experience (maritime or terrestrial) to be exposed to the field before committing to a post secondary/graduate academic program, and for those who are already in a program to gain more experience. The entire operation is extremely well run and smooth, from staff teaching the basic skills required to conduct surveys and process data, to logistical support throughout.
For new divers, it's also a great opportunity to improve your diving skills under supervision, as you will be challenged to take basic skills like your buoyancy and communications to the next level, as well as being introduced to task loading underwater; either being coached through the staff or getting tips from your dive buddies who are either more experienced or are also dive professionals, you will emerge from this as a better diver.
Due to the remoteness of the environment we were working and living in, you *will* leave the field schools and expeditions with new best friends.
A field school or expedition with Shipwreck Survey is without a doubt one of the most enriching ways you can spend your vacation.
