- Archeological and Lombard Museum - rooms 1 through 6, very interesting, with finds from the Roman to the Lombard times
- Romanesque and Renaissance Museum - very beautiful, rooms 7 through 14, where Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance sculptural and architectural finds are preserved
- Pinacoteca Malaspina - the best part of the museums, with walls of different colours that embellish the works on display. It has works by Antonello da Messina, Spinello Aretino, Vincenzo Foppa, Gentile da Fabriano, Giovanni Bellini, Ambrogio Bergognone, Giovanni Battista Crespi known as Il Cerano, Guariento di Arpo, Cima da Conegliano, Bernardino Luini, Paolo Veronese, Palma il Giovane, Correggio, Hugo van der Goes, Andrea del Sarto, Camillo Procaccini, Daniele Crespi, Andrea Lanzani, Francesco Londonio, Giandomenico Tiepolo, Anton Raphael Mengs, Gentile da Fabriano, Marco d'Oggiono, Andrea Appiani, Pietro Ronzoni, Francesco Hayez, Giuseppe Molteni, Giacomo Trecourt, Federico Faruffini, Tranquillo Cremona, and many, many others
- Hall of the Duomo model, with an impressive wooden model of the Cathedral from 1497
- Museum of the Italian Risorgimento - I did not visit this part
- Modern sculpture and plaster cast galleries - the least interesting section, according to me
- Morone Collection - this section was closed when I visited
The collection of museums is huge, it took me over three hours to visit - and one section was closed, I skipped one section, and I went very quickly through a couple of sections.
