Stresa is where it’s at!

点评：Skip Lake Como. We made a change to come to Stresa, a smaller town on Lago Magiorre and we are happy we made the change! Less people, no waits and easy access to boats, the lake and all it has to offer. We spent a day a Lido di Stresa, which is a club you can buy a day rate at to enjoy their infinity pool, lounge chairs and amazing views of the lake. Easy to access the lake, a generous helping for lunch allowed our kids time off to play and have fun.
We hit up Conad (local supermarket) for food on top of multiple visits to restaurants in around town. A quick visit to isola Bella for $10 Euro each (kids 1/2 price) was great for different shopping and you can also buy tickets to view the museum and gardens. We didn’t do this as we didn’t jump in the boat (5min ride) till 3pm and the kids were tired and even with fresh gelato weren’t up for too much more than swimming when we got back!
