We have just returned from our very first holiday with RSD and it is with regret that this will be our very last.
The flights left and arrived on time, the accomodation was lovely, food well presented and great variety but could not be described as a gourmet package.
The excursions to the historical and cultural sites were very interesting and the guide's knowledge was very good.
You may be wondering why we would not travel again with your Company.
Well in a nutshell it was the way we were expected to spend more time in leather,rug and jewellery warehouses than looking round places of cultural and archaeological interest. We were subjected to high pressure sales people, who could not take "no" for an answer.
It was like walking into a nest of hornets with no clear exit route out.
The whole experience was very intimidating and left us with a very bad taste .
These items were not cheap souvenirs and had no significance to the culture of Northern Cyprus.
We did not see how the furs,leathers,rugs or jewellery were made and were not allowed to take photographs. Very suspicious to say the least.
If you are expecting British people,especially pensioners to spend thousands of pounds on souvenirs you are deluded.
We were very angry at being subjected to this especially when we had to get up at 6am to be subjected to hard selling on this scale. Quite frankly RSD should be ashamed of themselves for treating customers in this way.
Please stop sending us your glossy literature as it is of no interest to us and will go immediately into our recycling.
We would not even dream of passing it on to any of our friends and family.
We hope you take this feedback on board as this is no way for a British Travel Company to treat their British Senior Citizens. Shame on you.
