Natural World Kenya Safaris-Masai Mara的点评
点评：We arranged for a week-long safari for our family (2 adults and one child) and it was amazing! Our driver Julius was an excellent guide, an impeccable driver, and knowledgeable about Kenya’s history, animals, and geography. We saw and experienced so much in one week — more than I ever thought possible. Our accommodations were superb, meals delicious, and the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. The scenery and wildlife were awe-inspiring and have left an indelible mark in our memories; thank you. We even names our 5’ souvenir giraffe after our guide, “Julius Jr.”.
The walking safari was beyond words. Being centimetres from the wildlife, seeing a baby giraffe, and inhabiting the space of these wild animals was something that I won’t soon forget.
Hippos, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, lions, hyena, and so many more incredible animals — seeing them in their natural habitat was surreal and simultaneously rewarding. Infinitely better than a zoo!
If there was one thing that we found off-putting, it was the tremendous pressure to buy trinkets, carvings, and beadwork at park entrances and specifically during our visit to a Masai village. That unrelenting pressure, after being told that there would be no pressure, was uncomfortable and distracting from what we had hoped would be an interesting interaction and exchange for which we had already paid. That is gladly omit from the tour, though seeing the village was interesting.
The time we spent on safari was an educational experience for us and our daughter unlike anything we could have achieved at home. Thanks to Faith for making this happen and to Julius, our trusted guide; it was great getting to know you. We talk of you often and think of you and our trip each time we see Julius Jr. in our living room.
