点评:The end of April following a lot of rain is not the time to visit. There was a single scaup duck, 2 moorhens and a couple of swans visible to the naked eye. With binoculars there were a few more almost identifiable dots in the distance. All the winter migratory birds had left and I guess everything else was having a duvet day. The path to Avenue Tower was ankle deep in mud and water but I persisted in the hope of seeing something - nope! Then I had the return journey.... The path to Saltcot merse observatory was at least less flooded, but the trip was just as barren. Neither path was wheelchair friendly (but I image a different story when they are dry) and the tower does not have a lift, instead 3 flights of concrete steps. I had hoped for a cup of tea on my return, but not that day, no food or drinks available.
On the basis of this visit, I would not return BUT I have heard so many good reports I will have to go back, probably in winter when the migratory birds are here.

基于这次访问,我不会再回去,但我听到了很多好消息,我将不得不回去,可能是在冬天,当候鸟来到这里的时候。
