Santa Fe College Teaching Zoo的点评
点评：Sante Fe College Teaching Zoo - this is a small but well-kept zoo. Most of the walk visitors take is in the shade, and the animal enclosures are also shaded, which I’m sure makes them more comfortable given the Florida heat. We got to the zoo about 10 am on a weekday during the summer. Water bowls for the animals were clean and full. Many staff members were working and caring for the animals, which was nice to see. A few FYI things- the walking path is not paved, so getting strollers over it might pose a problem. The surface is natural dirt and forest material, so it was pretty soft and comfortable to walk on. Our party was 3 adults; we walked and read most of the informational signs with the enclosures, and were done in one hour. The cost to enter is very reasonable. The zoo has many birds, tortoises, a very, very small reptile area, and some smaller monkey species; no big animals. It’s fine for what it is, and is educational. It would be a great place to take younger kids if you are looking for something to do, and they also have a small playground area for children 5-12 years. Sidenote- the bathrooms were clean, so visitors, please help staff keep them that way!
