This was one of the best tours my husband and I did while visiting Dubai. From beginning to end, it was amazing.
Mauricio was our driver and host for the day, and he was fantastic—prompt with our hotel pickup, very engaging, and incredibly informative during the drive out to the balloon launch site. Upon arrival, we were given reusable water bottles and safety instructions for the balloon ride.
It was the most perfect day! Our original flight was canceled due to high winds, so we rescheduled—and we are so happy we did. The weather was perfect. We had about a 45-minute balloon ride, reaching up to about 4,000 feet. We were accompanied by a falconer and his bird, who did a short demonstration while we were in the air.
Before landing, we were briefed on the possibility of a bumpy landing, but we couldn’t have asked for a better pilot. Usually, the basket tips over—but not this time. We glided in with just a few bumps and came to a stop upright.
Following the balloon ride, we headed to the Platinum Heritage camp for a delicious private breakfast and a camel ride. Everyone there was very helpful and courteous.
All in all, it was a great experience and one we would highly recommend!
