Excellent Open Water experience with Diveaway

点评：I did the Open Water course with Diveaway last week and can thoroughly recommend. Finn was my instructor for the certification and I was lucky enough to be the only student that week, which meant that I got one-on-one lessons throughout. This was a bonus, clearly, but I have no doubt at all that Finn would have managed a larger group with the same level of dedication, patience and attention to detail. This was my first experience of scuba and I had done my homework online before arriving in Fiji. There is always that slight concern that things are not going to turn out as well as one had hoped when reading the various reviews, etc. In this instance, I can confirm that it met all expectations.
Top of the list of issues for me was professionalism and safety. I was reassured from the get-go that the guys at Diveaway share those priorities. Clean, tidy and well-kept premises; carefully maintained and/or new equipment; careful attention to my questions followed by clear and useful responses; strict adherence to the list of skills and requirements laid down by PADI...all confirm the seriousness and calibre of the instructor and the outfit. Simply: I felt safe at all times.
From a logistical point of view, everything was seamless. Ash, the owner, responded to my mails promptly and the van was there to pick me up on Day 1, bang on time and as arranged. This remained the case for each of the days that i spent there.
Finally, they made it fun. Finn is an excellent instructor with a wry sense of humour. He loves what he has done for half of his lifetime and it shows. I really enjoyed it, hope to be back for more one day and can certainly recommend.
