with a very intresting history...
you should combine a visit, to Swansea Minster,church of st mary in the center of the city...he is buried there.., with his tudor celebrity wife, the social influencer of the 16th century... a major owner of the castle ..
Sir Mathew Cradock ( 1468–1531) Steward of Gower, Chancellor of Glamorgan and constable for life of the Kenfig and Caerphilly castles. , his grandsons.. the herberts of pembrokeshire, gower,swansea, raglan,
his cousins the mansells of margam,penrice,oxwich castles, in margam abbey are their tombs... etc
his marriage to Lady Katherine Gordon 1474-1537 lady in waiting to queen elizabeth of york and a decesendant of king James II of scots & king Edward III of england...
a much later owner,Sir John Nicholl ( 1759 – 1838) of Merthyr Mawr mansion and his cousins..the nicholls of dimlands castle & the Ham mansion in Llantwit Major,.
