An Oasis of Serenity in Taormina

点评：We visited the Municipal Gardens of the Villa Comunale in Taormina in late April 2026 on the third leg of a five week visit to Sicily. On our first full day in Taormina we spent several hours strolling along busy Corso Umberto I until we arrived at Ristorante Rosmarino (reviewed separately) on Via Bagnoli Croci where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Just across the street from the restaurant is the Municipal Gardens. The serenity of the Gardens provided a nice counter-balance to the hustle-bustle of Taormina’s busiest pedestrian street and was a great after lunch “dessert.” It features lush landscaped grounds with statuary, architectural features, walkways and benches and spectacular views of both Taormina and the coastline. The many families enjoying this wonderful green space further enhanced our experience and reenergized us to continue our exploration of Taormina.
