点评:My husband and I had the pleasure of sailing with Captain Tyler aboard A Morning in Maine twice this year--to Monroe Island in September and on an end-of-season sail in October. As always, both trips were outstanding! This was our second Monroe Island adventure, and we got to see some parts of the island that we weren't able to get to in 2023 since we had visited right after Tropical Lee came through Maine. We love the rugged, unspoiled beauty of the island. Our October sail out of Rockland was one of the best sailing days we've had with Captain Tyler. The wind was between 5 - 15 knots so we were doing some nice heeling. It was exhilarating! The heated seat cushions aboard the ketch were a very nice touch in the chilly fall breeze. :) We always learn some interesting new tidbits about the geography and geology of Penobscot Bay from Captain Tyler. His knowledge and passion for sailing are infectious. A day spent with A Morning in Maine is always a highlight of our visit to the Midcoast. We're already looking forward to signing up for the Science Under Sail trip in 2025!!
