Superb insight into military aviation history, run by delightful people

点评：Superb aircraft displays including a Sea Harrier that fought in the Falklands, a Phantom, and exact replicas of aircraft like the original Spitfire prototype plus many, many smaller exhibits. There are a few delightful ex fighter pilots among the volunteers who will cheerfully tell you all about what it's like at the sharp end of a fast jet! Everybody there is brimming with enthusiasm and they've done incredible restoration work.
Not only a sobering reminder of the futility of war and the incredible machines devised to wage it, but also a fantastic history resource and a moving tribute to heroism too. There's so much information in the displays that you'd honestly have to spend a week here to take it all in. I think we were there for 3 or 4 hours and I felt guilty at skimming over so many stories of individual heroism and bravery.
