As you deleted my constructive criticism without any explanation on Facebook, I’m sharing it here as a review.
After attending your so-called “Unicorn and Dragon Event Day,” I left with one very disappointed four-year-old. I would like to offer some constructive business advice.
First, I recommend not relying solely on your staff to communicate the day’s itinerary to guests. Our family of three children and three adults were simply given wristbands and sent on our way—without so much as a “Have you been here before?” greeting. It would be helpful to display posters with clear times and locations of event activities and character appearances, or at least provide a flyer with this information.
Additionally, your social media post did not make it clear that event activities would be available only at certain times of day, rather than throughout the day. As a result, we only saw a single dragon statue, a few hobby horses, and some printed pictures stuck to trees and fences as part of a treasure hunt. We did not see the unicorn character or the dragon character at all. We also missed the jousting and archery activities due to the lack of any information at the farm or online about scheduled time slots.
I don’t mind paying extra for special event days, but when it feels like just another regular visit, it’s difficult to justify spending £60+.
Overall, I am disappointed with the experience and frustrated by the lack of clear communication and organization.
