Great day out, friendly and helpful volunteers
Great Central Railway的点评
点评：I visited 29th December with my 2 children and had a wonderful time. The children enjoyed exploring the stations and enjoyed watching the loco being coaled up at the loco shed at Loughborough, we got really close to this and it was really immersive. We really enjoyed sitting in the restaurant car with bar in the diesel hauled train, this has been beautifully restored and was very comfortable.
My daughter left her bag on the train hauled by the steam loco and the kind volunteers at Quorn arranged for the bag to be recovered and handed back to us by another kind volunteer on the train when it returned an hour later. Whilst waiting at Quorn we had a good look around and were invited into the signal box and booking office to see how it all worked. So a great big shout out to the brilliant volunteers and staff for their amazing kindness, attention to detail and excellent customer service.
This is a superb railway/attraction, brilliantly presented, authentic and friendly. I thought the £38 I paid for my family runabout ticket was great value.
