Can’t recommend Friendly Planet. We’ll never book another trip with them again.

点评:We purchased an independent 10 day ‘land only’ package with Friendly Planet to Greece. We were already on a long term visit in Europe and arrived Athens in advance of program start date.
But after putting forward arrival and departure details which were insisted on by Friendly Planet (‘if we wanted the included airport/hotel/airport transfers’) We’d have to provide those details ‘no less than 90 days before the trip’ so they could make arrangement (done as directed)
When I contacted them to reconfirm transfers before the program start we were advised arrival & departure airport/ hotel transfers weren't going to be provided...
Glenda in their operations office advised Friendly Planet wouldn't be provided transfers because we had not booked pre or post hotels though them! When we indicated the inclusion of all transfers was clearly stated in all their trip details the response was… ‘Well you obviously didn’t read the fine print in our Agreement’.
Our land-only program provided our only inclusion a City tour of Athens, at Royal Olympic Hotel we and 2 other FP clients where picked up in a Mercedes mini van and one hotel stop later we were told to get out and we were all placed on a full 53 seater motor coach. The whole city tour was mis-managed and a complete circus.
While the included hotels in Friendly Planets package were of a decent standard for a low budget program… but our tour cost was north of $466 per day with Friendly Planet. On Paros our accommodation, was rack rated (walk-in rate) €70 per night. Naxos walk in rate was €105. We made an audit of the complete services provide by Friendly Planet and their markups well exceeded 50%.
We cannot recommend Friendly Planet to anyone nor will we ever book another tour with them. If your contemplating future bookings with this company, we’d suggest you look closely at price/value. Such ridiculous mark-ups by this company shows their complete lack of interest in generating a healthy growth of repeat clients.
