点评:Taormina is a delightful little town perched up high in the hills - this means, of course, that there are lots of steps and some fairly steep streets in the town. But it does give you the chance for some wonderful views down into the valley and towards the coast.
After a walk up the hill from the car/coach park, Corso Umberto Primo starts from the Messina Gate; dont forget that the Greek Theatre is up the hill (Via Teatro Greco) from the square - not to be missed! There are shops and cafes, restaurants and pizza parlours all along the street until you reach Piazza IX Aprile where you can stop to admire the view down into the valley. Passing under the clock tower, you reach the cathedral and further on, you pass through the Catania Gate. Down to the left is a little garden with a wonderful view.
Yes, it's busy but it is a tourist town and has been since those wealthy people on the Grand Tour in the 18th Century started to visit Italy.

是的,这里很繁忙,但它是一个旅游小镇,自从18世纪那些参加壮游的富人开始访问意大利以来,它一直如此。
