Great house and estate to visit but stay clear of Cafe!

点评：The experience of visiting the house was fantastic, so immersive and peaceful with two incredible volunteers house guides - welcoming, friendly and informative. The scientific experiments were really interesting and perfect for our 11yrold.
But the Cafe! A customer returned to the counter to say his hot chocolate was not hot. He was polite and clear but he got such a rude response from the youngish woman who seemed to be in charge of the other two staff. All should say was ‘it’s from the machine’! No attempt to check if the machine was working correctly, correctly calibrated etc, no offer of alternative drink, refund etc. And then when the customer sat down she started to berate him to her colleagues- rude and loud- disgraceful!
This is not the first time I’ve been to an NT property where the catering offer and staff have let the place down but this was worst I’ve seen - some people should just not be in customer facing roles!
