点评:Loved the film giving an idea of how the mother and half-siblings looked and how they used the house when Isaac Newton was there. The knowledge and enthusiasm of the room guides was beyond expectation. They showed us the carefully preserved etchings and the daisy wheels for guarding against witches and talked about the history of Isaac Newton's family. The facts displayed about the story that Newton was influenced by a falling apple from a tree made the collapsed but still living apple tree in the orchard even more interesting.
The tea room was warm, spacious and had a fascinating timeline incorporated into the high ceiling of what was once a barn. Generous cake slices and good drinks.
There is also a science centre including accessible experiments that we sampled, and saw children enjoying.
We hope to go back to see the results of the archaeology of the site where Newton's mother built a house.
