Party boat - not for ocean/sea life lovers

点评：If you perhaps in your 20’s or just wanting a party boat with loud music, rum concoction (Mauritian coffee) at 10.30, and not really into nature, snorkelling & the beautiful ocean life, then this boat will work for you.
Sadly the many boats & catamarans congregate in the same areas between the 2 north islands, (we spent +5 hrs here with average snorkelling & advised to just relax & chill)
Again the snorkel at Coin de Mire where the waters are a magnificent colour, all the boats gather in the same cove, they feed the fish with bread 😩 to quickly attract them & some boats (mainly the speed boats) continue to play loud music that u can hear whilst snorkelling.
We were promised a trip with just 4 people -
‘It depends of the booking we will have on Tuesday... but it will 4 not more’
and on arrival were informed that we were on a bigger boat with 10 people. Not what we wanted & it was a take it or leave it attitude by Ariella. … I had specifically asked her to inform me if there were more than 4 people. Given the experience we had, this was an unreal expectation & bad fit /choice of boat/company for us.
Alex & captain were generally friendly & helpful . They are young & unfortunately
the overall lack of consideration & the pursuit of economic benefits from tourism by this company seemed to overshadows concerns for marine life. This imbalance can only lead to environmental degradation, which is already evident, as natural habitats are exploited for profit without adequate consideration for their long-term sustainability.
We were really wanting for an exceptional snorkelling experience off the main island - It’s more like a boat excursion to a beach on an island, snorkelling (somewhat disappointing) , lunch & boat/music with 20 other boats. The name ‘Oceans Whisper’ is a contradiction to its actual offering..
