点评:In Bristol for the day, sightseeing, and knew I couldn't miss out on this fantastic exhibit.
They've done a brilliant job re the restoration, layout, and presentation of the ship. Not to mention everthing else that went into making it operate/tick, so to speak.
There's a lot more than just the ship itself. The drydock, outbuildings etc, but it'll always be the ship that takes centre stage. And to be able to just roam all it's decks, see the tableaux depicting its operations, layout is just magic. And I loved they way, at a glance, it almost looks to be afloat. And that you can walk underneath the hull to inspect virtually every part of the ship, check out its innovative propellor. Again, fascinating.
And finally a shout out to the excellent staff, who I found both incredibly enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. I'd not even gotten my tickey when the guy on the counter, picking up on my Scouse accent (the ship having mainly sailed from Liverpool), regaled me with a host of interesting facts and stories on the ship.
I would highly recommend paying them a visit, if you're ever in the Bristol area.
