点评:We stayed at Champneys Springs on 13 May as a relaxing overnight break, mainly to enjoy some downtime and a good night’s sleep — especially important for us as we both have young children at home.
The facilities and overall atmosphere were nice, and most of the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by a very noisy neighbouring room (Room 45), where the television was left on extremely loudly throughout the night. Despite our efforts, the noise continued until after 2am, meaning we only managed around four hours of sleep before needing to get up for breakfast.
This completely defeated the purpose of our spa stay, as we left feeling exhausted rather than relaxed.
I do want to give special recognition to Adonis, who was absolutely outstanding. He handled the situation with genuine care and professionalism, found us earplugs late at night, and even offered to move us rooms. His customer service was excellent and he really tried his best to help — he is a real credit to Champneys and made a difficult situation much easier to deal with.
Sadly, despite his efforts, the disruption had already impacted the night and overall experience. With better noise management or overnight monitoring, this could have been avoided.
A mixed experience overall — wonderful staff, especially Adonis, but disappointing given that rest and relaxation are the main reasons for choosing a spa stay.
