点评：We visited in November, when it wasn’t very crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The park states that it is home to around 1,500 butterflies from 150 different species, so you can imagine how many colorful creatures are flying around. What makes this place truly special is that it’s not just a tourist attraction – it also serves as a center for research, conservation, and environmental education.
You can even watch new butterflies emerge in their nursery, which is really fascinating. After hatching, the butterflies stay for a while to dry before being released into the park. According to the staff, a new butterfly hatches roughly every 30 minutes.
The visit is suitable for all ages, but keep in mind that you shouldn’t touch the butterflies, as their wings are extremely delicate. If you’re visiting with children, it’s especially important to keep an eye on them since the butterflies may sit on the ground, fly freely, or land on bushes – and their beautiful colors can be tempting to reach for.
The park has placed out food for the butterflies around the area, as well as magnifying glasses if you want a closer look. There are also birds, fish, turtles, and more inside. We read that there might be a wallaby, but we didn’t see one.
You can stay as long as you like, but most visits take about an hour. When you’re done, there’s a cozy gift shop and a café just outside – perfect for a break with something to eat or drink.
The entrance fee was €13 per person for us, and it was definitely worth it.
