Lovely family park in Bavaria - the steep path to the park is worth the effort

点评：I visited Freizeitpark Ruhpolding with a group of roller coaster enthusiasts in July 2025 as part of a tour around Austria and the Tyrolean region. We included this park on the itinerary due to the Gipfelstürmer family shuttle coaster which proved a big hit with our group.
The park has lots of cute and quirky things for children (and big kids) including some self-operated rides, water slides, a selection of animatronic houses that tell fairy-tale stories linked to local folklore, and of course the roller coaster. There is a cute narrow-gauge train that takes riders on a short loop around some fun-themed ponds. I spent a fun couple of hours at the park, strolling around the wooded and shady walkways to check out some of the attractions there.
The only niggle point was the steep path up to the park from the road, which was a struggle for some of the older members of our group, and could be a challenge too for those with mobility issues. I enjoyed the short visit here and found the effort to get to the park more than worthwhile.
