点评:We absolutely loved the whole experience:
However, I would not recommend taking young children to the bottom on the .4 mile strenuous hike. Aside from the stairs and the steep angle once you get close to the falls you can’t see anything without climbing on the jagged rocks that are covered with mud from the power of the falls constantly splashing them.
The rocks are extremely dangerous because in some areas a slip could result in serious injury or death. I would feel uneasy allowing anyone under 12 or anyone that doesn’t have strong balance: I’m 47 and run 3-5 miles regularly and still had a couple near misses where my boots slipped. There are places to climb and jump that are just risky.
The payoff at the bottom is tempting because it is significantly better than the view from above: feeling the power and getting drenched from the mist was a memorable experience: if you are well conditioned I highly recommend it.
