Excellent Christmas Twilight tour

点评：I took the Twilight Christmas Tour at Boscobel this weekend and it was excellent! What a nice tour. I was able to tour the grounds before the tour and get some beautiful pictures of the house and grounds. The home's location on the Hudson River was one of the best I have ever seen. The views were fantastic.
The inside of the house was decorated for Christmas as if the family would be entertaining guests for Christmas dinner and the bedrooms and Grand Hall were decorated for entertaining. Here and there were touches of a Federalist Christmas so things were not as elaborate as they would have been during Victorian times. It was garland and fruits all over the place and bright lights of candles (electric of course) and a simple table tree with small gifts underneath. The Dining Room table was set for Christmas lunch which would have been served after church services.
The outside of the house was decorated with white lights along with the gardens and orchards. It was spectacular in appearance after dark Then when we returned from the tour, they had Hot Chocolate, Hot Cider, Christmas cookies, candy and sweets for us in the Visitors Center as part of the tour package. It was a nice touch and the whole tour was $25.00. That was a very fair price for this wonderful evening experience of the home during the holidays.
