NC Zoo
North Carolina Zoo的点评
点评：I have been visiting the NC Zoo since I was a small child, and while I have grown older, the Zoo has grown and improved its services, exhibits, and the diverse array of animals and flora that populate the NC Zoo.
On this visit, I had the pleasure of accompanying my partner, who is a massive fan of zoos, and this was her first time in North Carolina. I had to treat her and take her to the best Zoo on the East Coast!
As always, the signage and park were well maintained and accurate, there were only a few closed exhibits and you knew well in advance that they were closed, so there was no extra walking, as the NC Zoo is a prominent place, my partner and I even rode the Tram twice, and still managed to rack up over 6.5 miles on our pedometer. Therefore, bringing good walking shoes is essential, as well as considering hydration and wearing temperature-appropriate clothes.
The NC Zoo is working on an “Asia” area, which promises to feature animals from this region, and what appears to be a walking deck for viewing the animals from above. I am particularly excited for this, as some of my favorite animals and plants hail from the Asian region of the world.
The food and beverages are a little pricy. Still, with that being said, the admission was only $22, which is only $2 more than the Greensboro Science Center, which takes maybe 2 hours, if you walk at a very leisurely pace, and the NC Zoo REQUIRES a whole day to get to every exhibit and see the lovely creatures within. And, I know the food & beverages are a way that the Zoo makes a profit, as there is no way $22 covers any cost related to the upkeep of exotic animals.
