点评:Our first visit to the zoo was less than stellar. It is a beautiful location with historic buildings and beautiful animals but because it is cashless my daughter got her heart broken. The zoo is for children to learn and enjoy nature and family bonding. But going cashless is adult oriented. The highlight of every zoo visit for my daughter (7) is to find a plush animal to take home as a souvenir. She does extra chores and helps out in the yard and with our farm animals all year, to save enough money to get it herself. We all are very proud of her. But for the lady at the register to act like her money was worthless stole her joy in the moment and broke her heart! I really don't care if we can get a card at a kiosk. It is impersonal and takes away the educational experience of counting out the money and figuring out if there is enough, or the correct change, for a young mind. She cried all the way home and said she never wants to go back. I had considered getting a family membership, but now we won't.
